Plate Levelling Machines

Ensures precise levelling operations and reduced operator fatigue
Precision Manufacturing Aided By High Quality Assurance
What Is a Plate Levelling Machine?
A plate levelling machine flattens steel plate by passing it through a series of offset rolls that remove internal stress and curvature. The result is a flat, stable plate that cuts, welds and machines cleanly. Our multi-roll levellers handle plate up to 40 mm thick and 3,000 mm wide.
Experience High Precision Levelling
Our top-of-the-line Plate Levelling Machines are designed for hassle-free usage and high precision; to ensure peace of mind and operational ease for plate levelling jobs.
Himalaya’s plate levelling machines deliver a multi-fold advantage to your fabrication infrastructure - a remarkably efficient and lasting performance, an unbeatable levelling precision, reduced capital expenditure, and lower ongoing operational and maintenance costs.
"Flatness comes from the number of rolls and the control over each one. With up to 17 rolls working
the plate, we take the stress out so it stays flat after cutting, not just on the table."

* All capacities are as per 26 Kg/mm2 (Yield Strength of Plate Material).
For reference, 26 Kg/mm2 equals 255 N/mm2. Our levellers flatten plate up to 40 mm thick and 3,000 mm wide, with 7 to 17 rolls, to a flatness of 0.2 to 0.5 mm per meter, meeting IS 2062 E250, EN 10025 and ASME requirements.
We offer machines with fixed as well as variable speeds according to your application and feed requirements.
Build Quality & Benefits
Sturdy Steel Structure
Rigid structure designed to sustain the maximum separating forces generated during the levelling process.
Leveller Rolls
Made of alloy steel hardened to HRC 60 (approx.) and mounted in high grade antifriction bearings.

Backup Rolls
Designed to support the main rolls and sustain the forces created during levelling process.
They are made from alloy steel, hardened to HRC 54 (approx.) and ground Lubrication.
Banks of back up rollers ensure less pitch between straightening rolls & minimum deflection of rolls resulting in very good plate straightening accuracy.
The gear boxes of the drive are splash lubricated. The bearings of backup rolls are grease packed and provided with fittings for periodic re-lubrication.
Operational Benefits & Features
High Accuracy
Excellent levels of accuracy of levelling operations, within ± 0.5 to 0.2 mm per meter for the rated capacity range.
Better Control
Variable operating speed provides better control to levelling process.
PLC Capability
Our machines are operated by PLC control panels that increase the operational speed while reducing operator fatigue. This leads to better output even with lower operator skills.

Safety
Plate levelling machines are designed with safety in mind. Electrical overload protection ensures that the machine is protected against power fluctuations as well as excessive load.
Our machines also come with mechanical safety spiders that provide an additional layer of safety to its functioning.
Conveyor (Optional)
We can provide, upon request, conveyors to aide in feeding and retrieval of plates.
Applications of the
Plate Levelling Machine
Plate Preparation Before Cutting
We flatten plate before laser, plasma and oxy cutting, so cuts stay true and parts do not distort after they are cut.
Heavy Structural Steel
We level plate for beams, columns and heavy structural work, removing the bow and twist that slow down fit-up.
Shipbuilding and Marine
We flatten hull and deck plate so panels sit true for welding, with less rework.
Pressure Vessels and Tanks
We level plate before rolling and welding vessel and tank courses, for clean seams and round shells.
Our Valuable Clients
More than 2,500 Himalaya machines run across India and export markets, backed by 400 plus repeat orders, trusted by defense, railway and heavy-industry leaders including L&T, Godrej and Boyce, MEDHA, RITES and MIDHANI.
